Some random summary statistics for 2006...
* I raced locally 4-5 times depending on how you count the Lake Stevens 70.3
race which "happened to be local." I had 3 1st place finishes and one
second place (to Dave Messenheimer) in those races. If I'd been able to fend
off the cramps for one more mile and finish strong then I coulda
had a 2nd or 3rd at Lake Stevens (behind Luke Bell) to add to that list. Oh
well.
* I raced in three ITU Continental Cups and never made it out of the water with
the main swim group so I spent a lot of time biking alone or with other
"dropped" riders. I routinely finished about 3/4 of the way back
amongst those who finished.
* I raced two half Ironmans with somewhat encouraging
results. I may add a third to my schedule next year.
* I raced all five Tri-California Series races and accumulated enough points to
finish 7th. Those races were probably the
Next year I hope to do the whole Tri-Cal series again, plus 3-4 ITU races, a
