I've been living the high life for three days now and I have to say that it's gorgeous out here. Lots of mountain views, bike lanes and sunshine. They do seem to get a few more afternoon T-storms than I'm accustomed to but you can plan around 'em.

nothing like a race to pump up your enthusiasm for training. I spent Sunday in Santa Cruz watching Markie V put together a crushing swim+bike and a solid run to finish 2nd overall at the Big Kahuna triathlon. He went like 4:08 for a half-IM!
