Back on my feet
This morning the doc cleared me to start running again. Look out, I'm back! Well technically I'm back to 20 minutes of walk+jog but I should be back to real run training within two weeks. I am sticking with my 6:30am swim routine after a 4-day holiday weekend. I also brought our CompuTrainer in for service and now it's back to putting out the expected amount of resistance. Apparently it is not uncommon for an internal connector to become loose so they fixed 'er up for me free of charge.
Recent Training Summary (week of Dec 17-23):
- 6 swim sessions totalling about 23500 yards, including a double on Thursday
- 3 bike rides, all on the computrainer due to some combination of weather and holiday prep
- 5 sessions of rehab-focused strength exercises
- 2 sessions of general strength exercises
I took two days completely *off* on Monday and Tuesday to hang out with the family and hopefully recover a bit.
