a minor(?) setback

I went to see Dr Adams today about my foot and while the x-ray was negative he recommended that I don't run/jump/pound on it for three weeks and we'll see if the pain goes away.  So it's better news than "6-8 weeks off plus a bunch of rehab."  So I can keep up my swimming and replace the running with some extra bike workouts.  Not too bad.

This morning's Swim with Dave was another fun one -- 1k warmup, 10x400 Pull on an interval pyramid from 5:00 down to 4:40 and back up again, 1k cool-down.  Keep these up and I'll be A-packing it next year!  Woot!!

dude - sorry to hear about this!  At least you've got the best doc taking care of you.  When's the last time you got some new running shoes?

I just got new ones in late October, but only b/c the foot was starting to flare up.  Before that it had been way too long.

Yeah, I know, I need to do a better job on this...
