still injured, but a bright spot on the horizon
On the down side, I'm still on a restricted-activity routine... one-fotted swimming, short/easy rides with flat pedals, no running... but I am getting a lot of lifting in.
But on the up side, Marky V and I just booked a trip to AUSTIN!!! Woohoooooo! I'll need to be 100% healthy by mid-April so we can fill the days with long rides, swimming & running, tex-mex, old friends, good times, bbq, beer & margaritas, live music, ... diggity diggity... the trip will run from Wed 19 Apr to Tue 24 Apr. Found a cheap, nonstop flight, too.
I know I missed my weekly produce picture. It was an odd week produce-wise - I still had lots of fruit left from my binge last weekend so this past Sunday's Produce Run resulted in some broccoli for Sunday night's dinner. But I did a follow-up run yesterday on the way to work and got some apples, blueberries, bananas, texas red grapefruit, celery and spinach. Too bad I didn't have the digital camera - it was a nice haul.
Finally, here is my workout summary for the last week and a half. Pretty boring...
Wed 21 Feb: hour on the computrainer (flat pedals); upper-body lifting
Thu 22 Feb: exercise bike, lower-body lifting, short/ez swim, PT
Fri 23 Feb: bike commute; 2.5k swim; rehab exercises
Sat 24 Feb: 30min on the elliptal; back & upper-body lifting; 2k swim; rehab exercises
Sun 25 Feb: rehab exercises + outdoor ride to Honey Bear and back! almost two hours to cover the 27 miles(!) See doc, I really am taking it easy so I can heal quickly!!
Mon 26 Feb: hour on the exercise bike; lower-body lifting; rehab exercises
Tue 27 Feb: rehab exercises, upper body lifting with Byron; 4k masters swim. Byron is a total badass. He does 5 sets of 9 pullups with a 35-pound weight strapped to his belt. I've gotta try that one of these days.

Thu 1 Mar: rehab exercises; lower-body lifting; 4k swim w/ masters
