Sun 15 June: test set at Pro Club. I suppose it is possible to fail these things.
long warm-up: 400 swim, 400 kick, 400 pull, 2x4x50 descend w/ 100 ez after each set (35-34-33-32, 31-31-31-31)
test set, part one: 8x100 @ 10sec rest - 64 65 66 65 66 65 66 66. Not bad, considering I didn't feel great.
10 min ez swim (600 yards)
test set, part two: 4x200 @ 20sec rest - 2:15, 2:15, 2:16, 2:17. Kaboom!!

Go home and take a nap.
For whatever reason (stress at work, recent illness & injury, sleep deprivation, ???) the body just didn't have it so I replaced my hard bike interval workout with a steady-state nap workout on Sunday. C'est la vie -- you can't force it if it just ain't there.
